so B4 scamming is a bannable offence in maplestory 2? I reported a scammer a week ago with evidence and he/she is still scamming now.

It is not banable from what I can recall. There's no way you can get scammed in the game unless you yourself put yourself in the position to get scammed. Which has nothing at all to do with nexon. These are your own choices that are preventable

To be honest it's not something Nexon should do anything about. It's your own choice trusting a stranger and giving them payment in advance. Scams will always happen in such cases.

I would never buy any runs from a total stranger.

Would be nice if they added a reputation button like they did in MS1. So you could see if someone is thrustworthy and has a good reputation or if his reputation sucks and he's a scammer.

Iffy. Sounds good on paper, but the room for being abused is pretty great here. I could see people lowering the rep of players for no reason other than to be toxic.

And rich people buying non-deserved reps from others. Buying fame! Trading fame! Come one come all!

And the irony in all this is that... This will, no doubt, open up more possibilities for scammers.

Speaking of which, has anyone tried buying house nominations from bots?

Nexon should just ban everyone who sell/buy these dumb runs.

They could, indeed, prohibit these actions. As I mentioned previously, these runs were likely intended to be ran with others free of charge. But ultimately a free economy with greedy sellers and willing buyers. I don't think Nexon would interfere with this. If buyers chose not to buy, the sellers can do nothing about it; no one is forcing the other side to do anything.

Regardless if Nexon does anything about this, I highly think that banning the buyer and sellers will not happen.

this is the discrimination that i always talk about , people thinks buying a b4 run is the same as buying a fire dragon runs . which is incorrect , b4 runs requires a key that takes rng to get and the reward is too good to miss ( 25 t1 gem or 8 t2 gem + locker or reroller ).
you can do b4 5 times a week , so is normal that you want to cap it out.

If the logic is that the scammer should be banned for selling a service that's against the terms of service, the person buying the run should also be banned for contributing to that ecosystem.

Really wish Nexon would punish people who sell runs of any sort, getting real tired of it clogging party finder since I can't auto queue cause of bots.

Nexon has a responsibility to stop players from preying on other players with scams like this. Buying B4 is necessary because of the key identify rates. Your post sounds like a sociopath lacking any empathy for the victim, the same kind of person who would scam someone.

What are you even talking about? Nexon has a responsibility to make sure players arent breaking the game... Working within a system's rules and selling services that people are willing to buy is literally how economics work. Also trying to equate people who realize in a free market scams will probably happen to being a scammer themselves with no empathy is not only a false equivalency its moronic... You sound like some sort of authoritarian socialist.

I wouldn't mind banning all the complete strangers who bomb me with whispers when I do get a B4 key.

How about making friends or be in a guild and run B4 with them? Problem solved. There's 0 need to buy any kind of runs, whether it's B4 or hard dungeons. Sorry but if you get scammed, it is your own fault.

Yeah I’m sure someone’s giving you 15m worth of runs free every week. /s

Scamming other players doesn’t work within the rules. It falls under harassment and other actions against the ToS. Simple enough that even a sociopath should understand.

Honestly, just make b4 key tradable. Is that so hard cuz it's ridiculous low rate to obtain it?
