English

We have received a lot of feedback on the pricing for the South American server, and learned that it is too expensive for players in LATAM region to purchase current items in the server, thus we are taking a similar approach to DOTA2, League of Legends and other major games in the LATAM region, and will be applying the change this month.

Please note, for technical reasons this change will only apply to the South American server, and only on Steam. As a result, to get the discounted pricing:
  1. You will need to play on SA server
  2. You have to live in one of the countries within South America
  3. You have to use Steam to purchase Merets at the new prices.

Even if you live in South America, if you play on North American servers, you won't be able to see the different pricing. Also, even if you play the game on the South American server, if you are living in the United States, you won't get the different pricing.

Only the countries supported by Steam, listed below, will be part of the new pricing.
  1. Brazil
  2. Chile
  3. Peru
  4. Colombia
  5. Argentina
  6. Uruguay

This change will be effective November 8th, after the Chaos Rising Update.

So... I do live in LATAM and play on SA server but I use a Facebook account (CBT didn't support Steam). Does it means I will never be able to buy Merets with adjusted price for my account?

I second that. I'm currently logging through google and their FAQ says we can't bind SNS login to Steam.
They should've made the in-game meret prices cheaper for SA, not the payment itself.

And who has the Nexon account created via facebook, what does? Sit & Cry?

How am I going to create a new account, buy my Founder Pack (oh, no longer available :o) and get all my nicknames again?

Please, Nexon, when implementing an account creation system by other platforms, implement at least correctly...

Yeah, It's actually kind of annoying for us who created an account through Facebook, it would be interesting if we could at least transfer the cash items we bought to a Steam Account (not the character, level, equipment and event items). I don't think Nexon will offer any other way for us to buy nx with a lower price in a near time, so if we stay with this account we lost 50% discount for a long time, and if we change to Steam we lost all of our progress and money spent... Well, at least they opened their eyes to this pricing change, so it's already a victory for us LATAM players.

I mean, it could be that they don't have the ability to adjust it on Google or Facebook due to other restrictions that we don't know about. Steam just makes the process very simple as it has for other game. I 'm not from SA, so I do hope you guys get the prices adjusted for all ways of logging in, but its possible it could be out of the dev's control regarding accounts made from 3rd party sites.

I'm with them. Bought merets two days ago and want to know if we will have some kind of compensation... It's only fair I guess.

But in anyway, I'm glad the prices dropped for us! :)

Same here! I made my account to play on CBT and even support the game with a Legendary Founder Pack. I contacted Customer Support today asking for this and they answered that they can't transfer data from a FB account to a Steam account nor provide me an alternative method for a non-steam LATAM player. I even explained that I created my account since CBT, long before they announce that MS2 was coming to steam. And nothing...

I will not support the game anymore purchasing merets until they fix this. It's completely unfair and even an insult to loyal players who just made their account with Facebook or Google (one of their methods to create an account in the first place).

They should have, at least, a method to export your data from a FB/Google acc to a Steam account contacting CS via ticket.

I think there should be compensation for who bought the founder packages because I also bought the legendary package that cost 400BR and almost 1 month later my merets and real money invested were devalued due to change.

With 400BRL I could be more than twice the merets I've won with the legendary package.

It is a very high value for a Brazilian and so if there is no compensation, it can be easily interpreted as a scam.

I appreciate this initiative, but I think there should be compensation as happened with the change to the euro values: http://maplestory2.nexon.net/en/news/article/36610/compensation-for-euro-founder-s-pack-purchases

Honestly, if they were to compensate people who bought founders pack they would also have to compensate everyone who bought merets since the game release.

I contacted support about my "issue" (bought 3500 merets 2-3 days before price drop) and they said there aren't planning any kind of compensation to those who acquired merets before the price drop.

I've contacted them and asked if I can either have my account bound to Steam or become a "regular login" account, they basically said "just create another account LUL". We're being forced to give up a whole month's progress (including a whole lot of progression events that happened within this period) and previous purchases so we can pay the same as everyone else for the same product, all because they never warned us of the issues with Google/Facebook login and what could possibly happen with those accounts - at least, I can't recall anything like that.

Also, their solution to this was terrible. They should've lowered the blue merets costs in-game or increase the amount when you exchange NX for merets, so it wouldn't matter whether you got NX from Nexon or Steam.

Same here man, got in touch with support, all they said they cant transfer, its not like they can just let us link our accounts to a new email and use that on steam or just let us make a nexon login/password on our facebook accounts. Its so simple that hurts
