If NPCs wearing corsets and skimpy clothing bothers you to the point that you think it should be removed then maybe this isn't the game for you. If it makes you feel really uncomfortable it would probably be best to just not play the game anymore or try to ignore it. I doubt Nexon would remove official clothing like this considering it doesn't really seem to bother most people and none of the NPCs seem to push the13+ rating.

Lol, this is getting pretty funny.

    Here's what you stated.

One question is can I incorporate a sexual element into a cartoon depiction of a child? Yes, of course I can. I can animate a child in a skimpy nurse outfit dancing around a pole for instance (according to you, this wouldn't be sexual apparently). The follow up question is, is that ok? Because according to LdySnowBunny, I can't put an age on something that has no "real world presence".
Also, since you want an answer to that. As long as the child did not resemble a real world equivalent and existed soley in the fictional realm, yes that would be okay. Not only is no one being damaged by it, such fictional content is consumed by victims of trauma for coping.

I am not defending child pornography. I am friends with many CSA victims who educated me about the subject and I myself am a victim of trauma. However, to misconstrue and water down the definition of genuine pedophilia and genuine child pornography that involves putting actual children through harm and violence is to do a disservice to victims everywhere. Some victims choose avoidance, some choose approach to deal with their problems. So long as they are not actively engaged in the harm of another, it is okay in the eyes of us law. Not to mention venting through fictional media, whether it be through creating violent images, sexually charged writing or whatever, is encouraged by therapists.

But thats beside the point. To bring it back on topic. It doesnt matter what you think at the end of the day. If you dont like the way a character looks in game, ask nexon for the ability to block the appearance of player characters when you block them. (which I think would be a great idea)

And even if nexon rules that our characters are prepubescent and thus are not allowed to show skin, that doesnt change the fact that a child showing anything other than genitals is not and should never be a sexual issue. Unless its like outright ballgags and bdsm gear, etc. clothes on children are not sexual. Which brings the question, are our PC's children? I sincerely doubt it. And looking like a child does not constitute being a child, whether in the real world or in a video game. At the end of the day yoga pants, tank tops, and short shorts are not sexual and shame on whoever thinks that a child should not have the right to be comfortable because they cant learn to break associations.

When I gave you one example, you stated as long it "didn't resemble a child and remained in the fictional realm" it is fine in your book. You even tried to justify how such content is beneficial for certain groups of people. Sure, you stated that "unless its like outright ballgags and bdsm gear, etc. clothes on children are not sexual", however you never strictly opposed sexual gear being in game. In fact, anything that doesn't expose genitalia is not sexual according to you when pretty much everyone else in the whole world sees costumes that are typically associated with porn and eroticism as being sexual.
And the bottom line is, what is sexualizing anyway? Does a child showing their midriff constitute as sexual? Why should the revealing of anything but genitalia be deemed to be sexually charged to anyone.

Here are some examples of the posts you liked

These posts clearly allude to the idea that BDSM/fetish/sexual gear, or any gear as long as the privates are covered up, is ok. Again, if that's not a sign of support for having that sort of gear in the game, I would like to know how you define "support". Oh wait, as long as the private parts are covered, you don't see anything as being sexual... and it's also not "real" according to you.

Someone send psychiatrist for Bulbasaur. They are wasting everyones time with their phobia and other issues/insecurities.
I'm impressed how Maplestory 2 forum CoC doesn't have a rule that arguing and derailing a thread is not accepted behavour. In general people use plenty of profanity in these forums and nothing is being done here, even though that one is definitely against forum CoC. How many VFM's and GM's we have? Pretty sure plenty of them to clean or lock crap such as this. No one needs this and it's going for days. I see nothing, but disagreement and arguing.
Grow up Bulbasaur and get a life too before it's too late. This is just ridiculous.

I said SOME. Things like fishnets, miniskirts, hot pants, and very thin sports bras are worn by children. Some children do just wear oversized shirts, though normally they're longer than the pic you provided. Adults in the US often wear lingerie in public in places like Walmart, so what do you think they allow their children to wear?

It's at the point where that is normal. I'll concede that the first and third pics aren't worn by children at all, but those character models and outfits were specifically designed as non-child.

i dont get why yall keep calling us sickos for stating that certain outfits are innapropriate. If theyre innapropriate, theyre innapropriate. We should be the ones calling you sickos

at the end of the day i dont mind women dressing up how they want to, but i know that 95% of the people in this game just want to do it so they can get off to it, and dont try to reply like " HOW AWFUL OF YOU TO ASSUME SUCH THINGS" because theres litterally a thread admiring the revealing busty chibi chars, and on top of that, whenever yall are asked "Why do yall play female chars" yall reply "because id rather stare at her azz and dress her up in sexy clothes"....

I see Bulbasaur once again derailed a thread just because they can't accept someone elses opinion.
I'm impressed how VFM's did not do anything about these derailed threads. Some people here should get warnings for derailing over silly arguing which happened on so many pages.
I guess some reporting should happen here...

Technically it was the OP who derailed their own thread by making a comment about wearing exposed underwear in public. I simply responded to it. And then somebody else responded to my comment.

For the other thread, discussing the subject in which the thread is centered on isn't derailing. "Arguing" isn't derailing.

ok first of all, reread my comment. I said *with an oversized hoodie or sweater*

Christ if you cant read, leave my thread

Grow up Bulbasaur and get a life too before it's too late. This is just ridiculous.

Firstly, can you name one phobia I have? Because I certainly couldn't care less how Nexon follows through with this issue, and I also couldn't care less about seeing these sorts of outfits in the game; it does nothing for me. All we are saying is that these sorts of outfits are inappropriate (that we can identify and see why these outfits are inappropriate) for a game with a wide age range. Other people, e.g. parents of very young children who play the game, may have issue with this.

Secondly, there is absolutely nothing wrong with disagreement as long as ideas and opinions are critiqued in a civil manner. The people who resort to personal attacks and insults are usually people who take offense at any opinion that doesn't align with theirs because "muh feelings", and the fact that having to critically think through yours and someone else's opinion to form a coherent argument/stance on an issue is f----ing hard (for some people).

Sure I agree that some items like hot pants aren't sexual. But there is clearly gear that mimics what people in the porn industry wear, which is the main issue. If you agree with that being an issue, then we are more or less on the same page. Adults wear lingerie CONCEALED, or in the case of trying on lingerie there are changing rooms for that. What are you talking about? OK, so one question I have for you is why don't those models look like children to you?

Oh I did read your comment. What you fail to understand is that there is a high probability of exposing your underwear if you cover yourself up with an oversized shirt and nothing else other than underwear underneath. Women commonly wear shorts underneath their oversized shirts because it would be embarrassing if they actually did expose their underwear. I don't know any parent who would let their children wear just an oversized shirt with nothing else other than underwear underneath.

Those parents were once kids too, who have seen their mom or their dad, walk around in just underwear during those ridiculously hot summers....UNLESS THEY WERE WEARING BURQAS!

But nah even they take that off when at home too. Plus kids these days are exposed to things that are far more worse than some skin. It just doesn’t phase them at all when they go to the beach. That’s how you know.

Nah I’m just kidding. I am talking about social media and TV in general and in the cartoons they watch. It’s all there. They aren’t dumb, they know exactly what’s going on and they just play dumb and feign ignorance around you. =\
